Lotus will be opening a new car store in Melbourne, the company announced on Monday.
Lotus Australia has launched a brand new location in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD and will provide “urgent” care services, the firm said in a statement.
“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to open a new shop in Victoria, and we’re pleased to be partnering with Lotus to bring a range of Lotus products to our customers in Victoria,” it said.
The new shop will be located in the same space as Lotus Cars Melbourne, which opened in March.
It will be the first car-focused Lotus in Victoria and it will include Lotus Classics, Lotus Classics Sprints, Lotus Sports, Lotus Sport and Lotus Sport Plus.
The Melbourne branch will be based in a building at the corner of Brunswick and Victoria streets.
While the shop will offer a range the car will be “all-new, premium-quality, high-quality vehicles that we believe are the best value in the market” and will include a range with performance, comfort and luxury options, according to the statement.
Lotus has been heavily criticised for its lacklustre sales performance in Australia in recent years and has struggled to sell new cars in recent months, following the demise of the iconic Lotus E-Class.
